Hoy practicamos  COMPARATIVES  escuchando una gran canción de Alicia Keys: GIRL ON FIRE. La explicación de este tema gramatical la encontrás en ntra. entrada del 19/11.

. Put the adjectives in the comparative form. (las rtas. las encontrás al finalizar la canción).

She's just a girl, and she's on fire
......................... (hot) than a fantasy, lonely like a highway
She's living in a world, and it's on fire
Feeling the catastrophe, but she knows she can fly away

Oh, she got both feet on the ground
And she's burning it down
Oh, she got her head in the clouds
And she's not backing down

This girl is on fire
This girl is on fire
She's walking on fire
This girl is on fire

Looks like a girl, but she's a flame
So bright, she can burn your eyes
............................... (good) look the other way
You can try but you'll never forget her name
She's on top of the world
Hottest of the hottest girls say

Oh, we got our feet on the ground
And we're burning it down
Oh, got our head in the clouds
And we're not coming down

Everybody stands, as she goes by
Cause they can see the flame that's in her eyes
Watch her when she's lighting up the night
Nobody knows that she's a lonely girl
And it's a lonely world
But she gon' let it burn, baby, burn, baby

Hoy practicamos  COMPARATIVES  escuchando un gran clásico de U2: ONE. La explicación de este tema gramatical la encontrás en ntra. entrada anterior.

Complete with the opposite comparatives. (Las rtas están al final)

Is it getting …………………………. ( worse)?
Or do you feel the same?
Will it make it ………………………… (more difficult) on you now?
You got someone to blame
You say

One love
One life
When it's one need
In the night
One love
We get to share it
Leaves you baby if you
Don't care for it

Did I disappoint you?
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth?
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it's
Too late
Tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to Carry each other
Carry each other One

Have you come here for forgiveness?
Have you come to raise the dead?
Have you come here to play Jesus?
To the lepers in your head

Did I ask too much?
……………….  (less)
than a lot.
You gave me nothing
Now it's all I got
We're one
But we're not the same

Well we
Hurt each other
Then we do it again
You say
Love is a temple
Love a  ……………………….. (lower) law
Love is a temple
Love
 the highest law
You ask me to enter

But then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt

One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters
Brothers
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
