Hoy practicamos Present Perfect escuchando un gran canción: Hello by Adele.

Complete the gaps by using the present perfect; then listen and check. (the answers are below)

Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all these years
You'd like to meet, to go over everything.
They say that time's supposed to heal ya
But I (not do) …………………….. much healing

Hello, can you save me?
I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be
When we were younger and free
I(forget) ……………….. how it felt before the world fell at our feet

There's such a difference between us
And a million miles

Hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times to tell you
I'm sorry, for everything that I(do) ………………..
But when I call you never seem to be home

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I(try) ………………. to tell you
I'm sorry, for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

Hello, how are you?
It's so typical of me to talk about myself
I'm sorry, I hope that you're well
Did you ever make it out of that town
Where nothing ever happened?

It's no secret
That the both of us are running out of time

FGP Centro de Enseñanza de Inglés.

. GRAMMAR: Present Perfect.

I've been to London.                         My brother has worked abroad.

Been /Gone:

He`s gone to Paris.   = He`s in Paris now.
He`s been to Paris.   = He went to Paris and came back.

I ain't been to Mexico.                   He ain`t read Harry Potter books.

Put the verbs into the correct tense:

Stupid girl

Maybe if I (act) ................... like that
That guy(call) ..................... me back
Want a paparazzi girl?
I don't wanna be a stupid girl

Go to Fred Segal you'll find them there
Laughin' loud so all the little people stare
Lookin' for a daddy to pay for the champagne
Drop a name

What happened to the dream of a girl president?
She's dancin' in the video next to 50 Cent
They travel in packs of 2 or 3
With their itsy bitsy doggies and their teenie weenie tees

Where, oh where, have the smart people gone?
Oh where, oh where could they be?

Maybe if Iact like that
Flippin' my blonde hair back
Push up my bra like that
I don't wanna be a stupid girl

The disease is growing, it's epidemic
I'm scared that there ain't a cure
The world believes it and I'm going crazy
I cannot take anymore

I'm so glad that I'll never fit in
That will never be me
Outcasts and girls with ambition
That's what I wanna see

Disasters all around
(Disasters all around)
A world of despair
(A world of despair)
Their only concern
Will it eat up my hair?

Do your thing, an' do your thing
Do your thing, an' do your thing
Do your thing, I like this
Like this, like this
Pretty will you eat me girl
Silly I'm so lucky girl
Pull my hair, I'll eat it girl
Stupid girl!
Pretty will you eat me girl
Silly I'm so lucky girl
Pull my hair, I'll eat you up
Stupid girl!

Answer:

act

 will call

Put the verbs into the correct tense:

I can tell by your eyes that you've probably been cryin' forever,
and the stars in the sky don't mean nothin' to you, they're a mirror.
I don't wanna talk about it, how you broke my heart.
but if I (stay) ………….. here just a little bit longer,
If I (stay) ………… here, …………..  you ……….. (not/listen) to my heart, whoa, my heart?

If I (stand) ……………… all alone, ………. the shadow …………. (hide) the colors of my heart;
blue for the tears, black for the night's fears.
The star in the sky don't mean nothin' to you, they're a mirror.
I don't wanna talk about it, how you broke my heart.
but if I (stay) ……………… here just a little bit longer,
if I (stay) …………….. here, ……………  you …………… (not/listen) to my heart, whoa, my heart?
my heart, whoa my heart, this ol' heart.

As long as you love me.

. Put the verbs into the correct tense. La rta está después de la canción.

as long as = if

As long as you (love)…………………. me

We're under pressure,
seven billion people in the world trying to fit in.
Keep it together,
smile on your face even though your heart is frowning
But hey now, you know girl,
We both know it's a cruel world
But I will take my chances

[Chorus]
As long as you (love) ……………….. me
We could be starving, we could be homeless, we could be broke
As long as you (love) …………………… me
I (be) ……………. your platinum, I (be) ……….your silver, I( be) ……… your gold
As long as you( love)……………………..

I'll be your soldier, fighting every second of the day for your dreams girl
I'll be your whole world, you can be my Destiny's Child on a scene girl
So don't stress, don't cry, we don't need no wings to fly
Just take my hand

Yo,B.I.G
I don't know if this makes sense but, you're my Hallelujah
Give me a time and place,I'll rendezvous it,i'll fly you to it,
I'll beat you there
Girl you know I got you
Us, trust...
A couple of things I can't spell without you
Now we are on top of the world, 'cause that's just how we do (do)
Used to tell me sky's the limit, now the sky's is our point of view (view)
Man now we stepping out like Whoa! (Oh God)
Camera's point and shoot,
Ask me what's my best side, I stand back and point at you you you
The one that I've argue with, I feel like I need a new girl to be bother with,
But the grass ain't always  greener on the other side,
It's green where you water it
So I know,we got issues baby true true true
But I'd rather work on this with you
Than go ahead and start with someone new
As long as you (love) …………. me
