sobre él. El objetivo: repasar, de una forma entretenida, lo que hemos
visto hasta ahora: Vocabulario: partes del cuerpo. Grammar: Has got,

¿ Sabías que en inglés con los sustantivos: school, university, prison hospital, and church no se usa el artículo 'the' cuando estamos pensando en la idea general de estos lugares, para qué se usan? Usamos el artículo 'the' con estos sustantivos cuando estamos pensando en un edificio particular.
Por lo tanto decimos:
- Ken's brother is in prison. (El hermano de Ken está en prisión). (No estamos pensando en un edificio particular por eso no usamos el artículo 'the') - Peter went to the prison to visit his brother. (Pedro fue a la cárcel a visitar al hermano). (Acá usamos el artículo 'the' porque estamos pensando en una cárcel, en un edificio en particular).
Otros ejemplos:
- When I leave school, I want to go to university. (Cuando termine la escuela, quiero ir a la facultad). (No usamos el artículo 'the' porque no estamos pensando en un edificio en particular). - I live next to the school where my children go. (Vivo al lado del colegio donde van mis hijos) (acá usamos el artículo 'the' porque estamos pensando en un colegio, en un edificio en particular).
